WICShopper is a mobile app designed to help users shop for foods allowed by their WIC program with confidence. The app is currently available in several states, including Alaska, Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia. The app allows users to scan products to check their WIC eligibility and tells them if they have enough WIC benefits left to purchase the product. In states that use "smart cards," users can capture and store an image of their benefits to use the next time they shop.

WICShopper is a helpful tool for those who participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The app eliminates the confusion that often arises from not knowing exactly what products are eligible for purchase with WIC benefits. With WICShopper, users can shop with confidence, knowing that they are purchasing the right products. The app is available in most supported states, and users can register their eWIC card to automatically download their current benefits every time they shop.

In states that use "smart cards," such as Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming, it is not possible to load the prescription onto the app because it is stored on the card. However, users can still use the app to capture and store an image of their benefits to use the next time they shop.
