Sphero Edu is an interactive platform that allows users to create, contribute, and learn with Sphero robots. The platform is designed for learners of all levels, from beginners to pros. Beginners can give robots commands by drawing a path in the app, while intermediate coders can use Scratch blocks to learn more advanced logic. Pros can use text programming and write their own JavaScript. Sphero Edu is built for makers, learners, educators, and parents, and the interactive platform allows users to keep track of their progress from one easy place.
Sphero Edu offers a range of features, including three programming modes: Draw, Block, and Text. Users can start with the basics and grow their skills over time. The platform also offers sensor data, allowing users to see location, accelerometer, gyroscope, velocity, and distance sensor data through visual graphs. Activities include programming a painting, navigating a maze, and mimicking the solar system. Users can also take a break and set LED colors on their robot to zoom around in Drive mode. Teachers can monitor progress by creating and assigning activities to students, and the platform integrates with Google and Clever accounts for simplified classroom use.
Sphero Edu is compatible with a range of robots, including Sphero RVR/RVR+, Sphero BOLT, Sphero SPRK+, Sphero SPRK Edition, Sphero 2.0, Sphero Mini, Ollie, BB-8, BB-9E, R2-D2, and R2-Q5. However, some robots, such as Sphero Original, Force Band, Lightning McQueen, Spider-Man, and indi, are not supported. With Sphero Edu, anyone can save their progress, jump from device to device, and continue the discovery from anywhere. Preparing for the future has never been so fun.
