After the recent update to the Google TTS engine, users have reported a problem with the pronunciation of the time. Specifically, when the time is spoken as "3:10," the TTS engine says "three COLON ten." To fix this issue, users can modify the Google TTS settings. First, go to the Google TTS options and then navigate to the Number processing setting. By default, this setting may be turned on, so users should change it to "turn off." If users are unsure how to access the Google TTS options, they can open the Speaking Alarm Clock, enter the ETC menu, click on the TTS engine setting, and then select the Gear icon of the Preferred engine. From there, they can find the Number processing setting and change it to "turn off."
The Speaking Alarm Clock offers several useful features. Firstly, it functions as a table clock, allowing users to easily check the date, time, and battery status. The brightness of the clock can be adjusted with a simple touch, and there is a burn-in prevention function. Additionally, the clock includes a speaking stopwatch and timer, which provide voice notifications at set intervals. Users can also share recorded contents. Another feature is the ability to check the current time without looking at the mobile device. By shaking the device, the clock will use TTS (Text to speech) to announce the current time. This function can be activated by shaking the device or using other options like turning the screen on and off.
The Morning wake-up alarm feature allows users to set separate wake-up times for weekdays and weekends. The volume of the alarm can be gradually increased from the lowest to the highest level, preventing a sudden loud noise. Users can choose to use the internal ringtone sound or their own music files as the alarm sound. The app also offers a countdown snooze function for those who want more sleep. Additionally, users can choose to use a puzzle lock to close the alarm, with options like math problems or number sequences. Other features include hourly chime and interval alarms, scheduled alarms with voices, battery full warning alarm, and battery low warning alarm. These features provide users with customizable and convenient ways to manage their time and alarms.
