SafeUM is a secure communication solution that offers encryption for instant text messages, voice and video calls, group chats, and files. The app uses an ElGamal Elliptic Curve Cryptographic algorithm with a 256-bit key to provide a high level of security that meets modern standards and requirements. SafeUM is designed for both private and business use, and offers features such as encrypted group chats, registration without a SIM card, and the ability to use three accounts simultaneously on one device. The app also offers account access control, account authorization history, and free encrypted audio and video calls within the SafeUM network.

In addition to its features, SafeUM offers a high level of security. The app does not store local data on the user's device, and offers an "enhanced encryption" mode. Users can verify their interlocutor's encryption keys with a QR code, and there are three levels of account access with three PIN codes. Personal information is not available when using public networks, and the app offers security alerts for account hacking attempts. SafeUM also uses dynamic secret key generation for each message, and digital signature ensures the integrity of the transmitted data as well as the authenticity of the interlocutor.

When registering with SafeUM, users are given a telephone number in a +3712 XXX-XXXX format. If the user does not recharge the number within two weeks of registration or if there has been no activity with the number for 14 days or more and the balance on the account is 0.00 EUR, SafeUM reserves the right to withdraw the number. However, withdrawing the number does not impact the user's account functionality, including chats and calls within the SafeUM network. The recovery of the number is technically impossible, but the number will not be withdrawn if the balance is positive.
