Pleco is a Chinese learning app that offers an integrated Chinese-English dictionary, document reader, and flashcard system. The app has a fullscreen handwriting input and live camera-based character lookups. It comes with two free dictionaries, CC-CEDICT and PLC, which together cover 130,000 Chinese words and include 20,000 example sentences with Pinyin. The app offers eight more free dictionaries as optional downloads, including a 22,000-entry Cantonese-English dictionary, and 19 other great dictionaries are available as paid upgrades.

Pleco offers a range of features, including handwriting input, live optical character recognition (OCR), screen reader/OCR, flashcard system, audio pronunciation, powerful search, cross-referencing, stroke order diagrams, voice recognition, document reader, and PRC- and Taiwan-friendly support. The app also supports traditional and simplified characters, and supports Zhuyin as well as Pinyin for pronunciation display. The app has no ads and offers excellent customer support.

Pleco has been making Chinese dictionary apps since 2000, and its sales and customer base have been steadily growing for 17 years across four different platforms. The app offers migration options for users who already own Pleco on another OS. Paid add-ons can be moved to a new device like any other paid app. The app uses Accessibility services for its Screen Reader feature, which helps users to get by in Chinese-speaking regions without knowing Chinese.
