The app offers instant edits, eliminating the need for video editors and the hassle of editing. Users can also trim and edit their videos easily with the built-in editor, and rearrange clips to tell their story. Lomotif offers additional power features such as formatting music videos for Instagram with just one click, using Hyperlapse videos for an interesting timelapse/fast-mo effect, and creating a slideshow using photos.

To create a music video using Lomotif, users can select video clips from their camera roll, find and add music, and instantly preview their short video. The app allows users to share their videos on social media sites or save them to their camera roll. Lomotif's new update lets users include an unlimited number of clips, and there are 7 filters to choose from. Users can also add a title to their video by typing it in on the 'Enter a Title' section on their Create screen.
