LingQ is a smart language app that uses SRS to teach users a variety of languages, including English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Swedish, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Norwegian, Latin, Esperanto, Ukrainian, Czech, Romanian, Arabic, Finnish, Hebrew, and Turkish. The app offers beginner lessons and authentic content to help users progress quickly. With 1000s of hours of lessons, podcasts, books, interviews, and more, all with transcripts, users can import content from the web, including Netflix shows and YouTube videos, and study them as lessons in the app. LingQ also tracks users' language learning activities, including listening time and words read, and uses SRS to review and learn vocabulary in context.
LingQ's features include the ability to study all available languages, import content from the web, look up and learn new vocabulary using integrated dictionary resources, review and learn vocabulary using SRS, track how many words users know and which words are new, and keep all language app statistics, including listening and reading time. Users can also use playlists to easily play and shuffle all their current lessons, sync word data, playlist data, and lesson data to the web and across devices, and receive notifications for all LingQ learning activities from the web or mobile. LingQ was built by language learners for language learners and was co-founded by Steve Kaufmann, one of the world's leading polyglots, who has learned 19 languages using this approach.
