Forest is a productivity app that helps users stay focused and boost productivity. The app has won several awards, including the 2018 Google Play Editors’ Choice Top Productivity App and the 2018 Google Play Best Self-improvement app in 9 countries. The app uses gamification to motivate users to reduce procrastination and build good habits of time management. Users plant a seed in Forest when they need to put down their phone and stay focused to get their to-do list done. As they stay focused, the seed gradually grows into a tree. However, if they cannot resist the temptation of using their phone and leave the app, the tree will wither.
Forest offers multiple focus modes, including timer mode and stopwatch mode. In timer mode, users can set their focus session and dive into their work or study flow, or apply the Pomodoro technique. In stopwatch mode, they can start and stop at any time.
