Ellen G. White was a prominent Seventh-day Adventist author whose ministry spanned 70 years, from 1844 to 1915. She wrote on a wide range of spiritual and practical topics, including health, education, ministry, financial and marital advice. Her most famous works include Steps to Christ and the 5 conflict of the ages series. Ellen White is also credited as the co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The EGW Writings 2 app for Android allows users to download her complete published writings, with books available in 137 languages. The app features syncing of Study Center data and user history through EGW Cloud, a My Library feature, and updated bookshelf and reader layouts.

The EGW Writings 2 app for Android is available for free and can be downloaded on Android OS v.4.2.0 and up. Users can download books individually or as a complete collection. The app's user interface menus support 16 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog, and Ukrainian. The app also features offline search mode, optional Wifi only mode and airplane mode to save user data, and improved text selection UI. The app's advanced search feature allows users to search in collections, including All Collections, Compilations, and Lifetime Works, and ordered search.

The EGW Writings 2 app for Android has several other features, including vertical scrolling option or horizontal page scrolling, swipe right/left to move to next/previous chapter for vertical/horizontal mode, and improved search ability to go directly to a book/page/paragraph. The app also has a split-screen view that can maximize to full-screen view and back again, a book reader chapter progress indicator scrollbar, and pre-recorded audiobooks collection added to the main bookshelf. The app's maximum font size has been increased to 72 points, and users can download books to internal memory or external SD card. The app's database storage location can be moved from internal device memory to an external SD card.
