The app features maps from professional publishers such as National Geographic, National Park Service, and the US Forest Service. Users can explore the largest mobile Map Store of hiking, topographic, cycling, city, nautical, travel, and trail maps. The app allows users to locate their real-time GPS position and find direction, even when offline. They can also record GPS tracks during their activities, navigate to features using compass tools, add photos and notes to any location, and measure distances and estimate times.
